the SMCPS Renovates Loft Bathroom
One of the projects of the Parish of St. Monica was to repurpose the space above St. Michael's Church to Non-Profits. The space occupies three floors above and beside St. Michael's Church and was the former classrooms and offices of St. Michael's Elementary School that closed in 1989. This space is usable and is currently being rented by three non-profits. To make is more useful and attractive the SMCPS offered to seek funds to repair the bathroom on the second floor. This bathroom is directly above the Church and was a potential hazard to the Church. The SMCPS also sees the space as a potential source of income to the Parish. The SMCPS offered to fund the bathroom renovation.

In 2018 the SMCPS held a special fund raising campaign to raise $10,000 to make the bathroom workable for the renters. This was accomplished in 2018 and was the first capital project of the SMCPS. The photos below documented the project.
